I can't count the times when I have been nearly run over when crossing Mcleod Ave. by someone talking on their cell phone while driving. Let us know what you think and share your experience.

Studies have shown that cell phone usage while driving can result in the same type of behavior as someone who is intoxicated.
Don't believe me? Get into a larger vehicle such as a bus or tall truck and watch those on cell phones. Most of the time it is obvious that their attention isn't on the road nearly as much as it should be.
Phone users will suggest that talking on a cell is no different than talking with a passenger. Baloney. If I am talking with a passenger and pause my conversation to change lanes or make a turn, barely anyone notices. Everyone in the vehicle knows what is going on. The person at the other end of a cell phone conversation has no idea what is going on in the vehicle.
Effective September 01, 2009, Strathcona County (which includes Sherwood Park) has banned cell phones while driving. I can't wait to see this go province wide.
